Edgram 400mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Gatifloxacin or any fluoroquinolone, history of tendon injury related to fluoroquinolones, and in children and adolescents. It should not be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary.

Edgram 400mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney or liver disease, history of seizures, or tendon disorders. It may cause tendonitis or tendon rupture, especially in older adults and those on corticosteroids. Avoid use in children and adolescents. Prolonged use may lead to Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea. Monitor blood sugar levels if diabetic, as Gatifloxacin may cause hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia.
