This Medical Disclaimer contains important information about the limitations of AI-generated health insights provided by SaathiMed. By using our platform, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
1. Not Medical Advice
The content, tools, and AI-generated insights provided by SaathiMed (including the SaathiMed Patient App and DoctorSaathi App) are for informational and educational purposes only. They are not intended to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information obtained from SaathiMed.
2. AI-Generated Insights & Limitations
SaathiMed uses artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms (including DeepSeek API integration) to generate health insights based on user-provided information. You acknowledge and understand that these AI-generated insights:
- Are not always accurate: AI models can make errors, miss rare conditions, or provide incorrect suggestions
- Should not be considered definitive medical diagnoses: Only a qualified healthcare provider can make an official diagnosis after physical examination and diagnostic tests
- May not account for individual medical history: AI cannot consider your full medical history, genetic factors, or complex comorbidities
- Continuously improve but remain imperfect: Our outcome-based learning loop makes the system smarter over time, but AI will never be perfect
- May not recognize emergency situations: AI may not flag life-threatening conditions that require immediate attention
- Are based on patterns, not clinical judgment: AI identifies patterns in data but cannot exercise clinical reasoning or empathy
For Doctors Using DoctorSaathi: The differential diagnosis suggestions provided by our AI are meant to expand your consideration set — not replace your clinical judgment. You remain fully responsible for all diagnostic and treatment decisions.
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, including but not limited to:
- Chest pain or pressure
- Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
- Severe bleeding or head injury
- Sudden severe headache or vision changes
- Loss of consciousness or seizure
- Signs of stroke (facial drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulty)
- Suicidal thoughts or self-harm
IMMEDIATELY:
- CALL your local emergency services (102 for ambulance, 108 for emergency services)
- Contact your nearest hospital or emergency room
- Do NOT rely on SaathiMed or delay seeking emergency care
- Do NOT use teleconsultation for emergencies — go to a physical hospital
3. No Doctor-Patient Relationship
Use of SaathiMed does not create a doctor-patient relationship between:
- You and the SaathiMed platform, its developers, or its contributors
- You and any affiliated healthcare providers through teleconsultation (separate consent is required for actual consultations)
- You and any doctors providing educational content on our platform
SaathiMed is a digital health support platform and not a licensed healthcare provider. A formal doctor-patient relationship is established only when you explicitly consent to a teleconsultation with a verified doctor through our platform.
4. User Responsibility & Informed Consent
You are solely responsible for:
- Accuracy of information: Ensuring the health information you enter (symptoms, vitals, medical history) is accurate and complete. Garbage in = garbage out — inaccurate input leads to inaccurate AI insights.
- Consulting professionals: Consulting qualified healthcare professionals for all medical decisions, especially before starting, stopping, or changing any medication
- Seeking emergency care: Recognizing emergency situations and seeking immediate professional care without delay
- Your own health outcomes: Understanding that no AI platform can guarantee specific health outcomes
- Second opinions: Seeking second opinions for serious conditions or uncertain diagnoses
5. No Guarantees or Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SaathiMed makes no warranties or guarantees regarding:
- The accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, or usefulness of AI-generated insights
- That the platform will meet your specific health needs or expectations
- Any specific health outcomes, improvements, or benefits from using the platform
- That the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure from cyberattacks
- That AI will correctly identify all possible medical conditions or risk factors
- The availability or quality of teleconsultation services from doctors on our platform
SaathiMed is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties, express or implied.
6. Testimonials & User Stories
Any testimonials, user stories, case studies, or success stories shared on SaathiMed represent individual experiences and do not:
- Guarantee similar results for all users
- Constitute medical advice or endorsements
- Reflect typical outcomes (results vary significantly based on individual health conditions, adherence to treatment, and other factors)
- Suggest that AI can replace professional medical judgment
Individual results may vary. Do not rely on testimonials as a guarantee of your own health outcomes.
7. Telemedicine Specific Disclaimers
For users utilizing teleconsultation services through SaathiMed:
- Doctors providing teleconsultations are independent practitioners, not employees of SaathiMed
- Telemedicine has limitations compared to in-person examinations (cannot perform physical exams, vital measurements, or diagnostic tests)
- Some conditions cannot be adequately diagnosed through telemedicine and may require in-person consultation
- Technical issues (internet connectivity, audio/video quality) may affect consultation quality
- Doctors follow NMC Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020, which define appropriate use cases for telemedicine
- List A and List B conditions as defined by NMC guidelines will be observed by doctors
8. For Doctors Using DoctorSaathi

- You must maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- You must obtain informed consent from patients before teleconsultation
- You should document all teleconsultations as per NMC guidelines
- You should not use AI suggestions as a substitute for clinical judgment or continuing medical education
9. For Patients Using Teleconsultation
If you use teleconsultation services through SaathiMed, you acknowledge that:
- Telemedicine has inherent limitations compared to in-person examinations
- You should provide complete and accurate health information to doctors
- You should follow doctor's advice regarding in-person follow-up visits when recommended

10. No Liability for Third-Party Content
SaathiMed may display content from third-party sources, including:
- Medical databases (medicines, diseases, diagnostic tests)
- User-generated content (community posts, reviews, questions)
- External links to health information websites
We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any third-party content. Reliance on third-party content is at your own risk.
11. Regulatory Compliance
SaathiMed operates in compliance with applicable Indian healthcare regulations, including:
- Information Technology Act, 2000 (and amendments)
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act)
- NMC Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020
- Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010
- Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (for e-prescriptions)
However, compliance with these regulations does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated insights or absolve users of their responsibility to seek professional medical advice.
