Zopizone can cause agranulocytosis, a severe decrease in white blood cells, which requires regular blood monitoring. It may also cause seizures, myocarditis, and orthostatic hypotension. Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, liver or kidney impairment, and history of seizures. Elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis are at increased risk of death.

In case of overdose, seek emergency medical attention immediately. Symptoms may include drowsiness, confusion, tachycardia, hypotension, respiratory depression, and seizures. Treatment is supportive and symptomatic; activated charcoal may be considered if ingestion is recent.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
