Akostol tablet likely contains atorvastatin (commonly 10mg or 20mg) – a statin used to lower cholesterol and reduce cardiovascular risk. Atorvastatin inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, decreasing LDL cholesterol and triglycerides. It is indicated for primary hypercholesterolemia, mixed dyslipidemia, and prevention of cardiovascular events. 2. Side Effects
