Overxon S is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to ceftriaxone, sulbactam, or any cephalosporin. It should not be used in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia, especially premature infants, due to risk of bilirubin encephalopathy. Also avoid in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to penicillins.
