Do not use Levato 500mg Tablet in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones, tendon disorders related to fluoroquinolone use, myasthenia gravis, or in children and adolescents (except for specific indications). Also avoid in patients with known QT prolongation or uncorrected electrolyte imbalances.

Levofloxacin can cause tendonitis and tendon rupture, especially in patients over 60 years, those taking corticosteroids, or with kidney, heart, or lung transplants. It may also worsen muscle weakness in myasthenia gravis. Avoid excessive sunlight and UV rays as it increases photosensitivity. Use with caution in patients with central nervous system disorders, as it may cause dizziness or seizures. Monitor kidney function in elderly patients.

In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms may include confusion, dizziness, seizures, and QT prolongation. Treatment is supportive and symptomatic; no specific antidote is available. Hemodialysis may not be effective.
