Alnitro 2.6 Tablet CR contains glyceryl trinitrate (nitroglycerin) 2.6mg in a controlled-release formulation. It is used for long-term prevention of angina pectoris. The CR formulation provides sustained release over several hours, reducing the frequency of angina attacks. It works by dilating coronary arteries and reducing cardiac preload. Not for acute attacks.
