Online class me panic attack aaya, breathing se control hua kya? Ya bas temporary relief hai?
I literally had a panic attack in the middle of my online class today. Professor was explaining something and my heart just started racing, felt like I couldn't breathe, hands went numb. I had to turn off my camera and pretend my WiFi was down. Mummy came in later and saw me crying, she just said "yeh sab dimaagi hai, bas padhai pe focus kar." Like okay, thanks for the support 🙃
Anyway, I've been trying this one breathing thing I saw on YouTube - 4-7-8 method? You breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 7, exhale for 8. It kinda helps calm my heart rate but honestly, when the panic hits, I can't even remember to do it. My brain just goes into full emergency mode.
The worst part is my parents think I'm making excuses to avoid studying. They don't get that this overthinking is literally eating me alive. Last night I couldn't sleep because I kept replaying every awkward conversation from the past week.
Has anyone here actually managed to stop a panic attack with breathing exercises? Or is it just temporary relief? I feel so stuck.
