Glaucoma ki dawai se aankh jal rahi hai! Kya ye normal hai ya doctor badle?
Namaste everyone. I’m 55 years old and have been managing glaucoma for the past two years. Doctor told me “Kala Motiyabind” hai and prescribed eye drops to keep pressure down. But yaar, every time I put the drops—especially the one with timolol—there’s a terrible burning sensation. Aisa lagta hai jaise aankh mein mirchi daal di ho. It lasts for a minute or two, but it’s really uncomfortable.
Meri biwi kehti hai “itna drama mat karo, sab ko hota hai,” but I’m worried. Kya ye normal hai? Kya isse aankh ko koi nuksaan ho sakta hai? Main roz subah aur raat dalta hoon, but sometimes I skip a dose because of the burning—I know that’s dangerous, but I can’t help it. Doctor ne kaha hai ki agar pressure control nahi hua to blindness ka khatra hai, so I’m scared.
I’ve tried putting drops in fridge—thoda better hota hai. Also, I close my eyes for 2-3 minutes after. But still burning. Has anyone else faced this? Koi aisa drop hai jo kam jalta ho? Or should I ask my doctor to change the medicine? Please batao, main bahut pareshan hoon.
