1 saal clean, par CV gap ne utha liya mera confidence! Job nahi mil rahi, kya karun?

Hi everyone. Feeling very low today. I went for a job interview yesterday, first one in months. I thought I was ready. I prepared, wore my best saree, reached on time. But the moment they asked about the gap in my CV, I could see their face change. I told them I was dealing with health issues, but they kept pushing. Finally I just said I was in rehab for cocaine. Silence. Then a fake smile and "we'll call you."

I know I should not have said it. But lying feels worse. Mera dil toot gaya honestly.

I have been clean 1 year now. I go to NA meetings twice a week. Doing step work with my sponsor. But yeh job market... it's like they only see the addict, not the person fighting back. My mother calls every day asking if I got a job. I can't tell her the truth. Already she is stressed about my credit card debt.

Has anyone here managed to get a job after rehab? How did you handle the gap in your resume? Should I lie or be honest? Please help, I'm losing hope.
