Overview

A quadruple-action oral suspension combining a potent local anesthetic (Oxetacaine) with antacids (Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium) and an antiflatulent (Dimethicone). It provides rapid and prolonged relief from hyperacidity, heartburn, and associated pain by neutralizing acid, forming a protective mucosal layer, and relieving gas-related discomfort. It is a first-line therapy for symptomatic relief in acid-peptic disorders in the Indian population.

1. Oxetacaine: A potent surface anesthetic that acts on the nerve endings in the esophageal and gastric mucosa, blocking sodium channels and inhibiting pain signal transmission. 2. Aluminium Hydroxide: Reacts with gastric HCl to form aluminium chloride, neutralizing acid and raising gastric pH. It also has mild astringent and cytoprotective properties. 3. Magnesium (as Magnesium Hydroxide or Carbonate): Reacts with HCl to form magnesium chloride, neutralizing acid. It has a laxative effect. 4. Dimethicone: A silicone polymer that reduces surface tension of gas bubbles, causing them to coalesce and be expelled more easily via belching or flatus.
