2. Mechanism of Action
Betamethasone binds to cytoplasmic glucocorticoid receptors, forming a complex that translocates to the nucleus. 3. Indications & Uses
- Eczematous Dermatitis (Atopic, Seborrheic, Nummular)

4. Dosage & Administration
Adult Dosage: Apply a thin film to the affected area 1-2 times daily. The frequency should be reduced to once daily or on alternate days as the condition improves. Total duration should not exceed 2-4 weeks continuously without medical review.
Administration: Wash and dry the affected area gently. Apply a thin layer and rub in lightly until it disappears. Do not bandage or cover unless directed by a physician. Wash hands after application unless hands are the treatment area. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, nose, and mucous membranes.

7. Patient Counselling
- DO use exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- DO apply a thin layer only to the affected area.

- DON'T use on the face, groin, or armpits unless specifically instructed.
- DON'T cover or bandage the area unless told to do so (occlusion increases absorption and side effects).
- DON'T use for longer than the prescribed duration.

8. Toxicology & Storage
Overdose: Topical: Signs of excessive corticosteroid exposure including severe skin atrophy, striae, telangiectasia, HPA axis suppression (fatigue, weakness, nausea, hypotension, hypoglycemia). Acute oral ingestion of large amounts of cream/ointment is unlikely but may cause GI upset.
Storage: Store at room temperature (15-25°C), protected from light and moisture. Do not freeze. Keep the tube tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
