1. Clinical Overview

Azithral Eye Drop contains Azithromycin, an antibiotic for bacterial conjunctivitis and other ocular infections. It inhibits protein synthesis, effective against common ocular pathogens including Chlamydia trachomatis. Usually instilled 1-2 drops twice daily.

2. Side Effects

Possible side effects associated with Azithral Eye Drop:

  • Common: transient burning
  • stinging
  • and blurred vision. Less common: eye redness
  • itching
  • and eyelid edema. Rare: allergic reactions. Avoid contact lens wear during treatment. Discard after 4 weeks of opening.
