Winter knee pain relief: 5 Ayurvedic home remedies

Iske alawa, winter mein physical activity kam ho jaati hai, jisse muscles weak ho jaate hain aur joints par zyada pressure padta hai. Ayurvedic aur Home Remedies for Knee Joint Pain in Winter

1. Garm Taila (Oil) Massage – Sabse Asardar Nuskha

  • Mahanarayan Taila: Is taila ko halka garam karein aur ghutno par 10-15 minute tak dheere-dheere massage karein. Isse joint mein lubrication badhta hai, stiffness kam hoti hai aur blood circulation behtar hota hai.
  • Sarso ka Taila (Mustard Oil) + Lahsun: Sarso ke taila mein 4-5 lahsun ki kaliyaan (crushed) daal kar garam karein. Is taila ko thoda thanda karke ghutno par lagayein. Lahsun mein anti-inflammatory compounds hote hain jo pain aur swelling kam karte hain.
  • Nariyal ka Taila + Dalchini Powder: Nariyal ke taila mein thoda sa dalchini powder mila kar garam karein aur massage karein. Dalchini mein warming properties hoti hain jo joint ko andar se garam rakhti hain.

2. Garm Pani ki Sekai (Hot Compress)

Ek cotton ke kapde ko garam pani mein bhigo kar nikaal lein aur ghutno par 10-15 minute ke liye rakh dein. Aap ismein thoda sa namak ya sarson bhi daal sakte hain. Isse muscles relax hote hain aur pain mein fauran aaram milta hai. Din mein 2-3 baar karein.

3. Ayurvedic Kadha aur Herbal Chai

  • Adrak aur Haldi wali Chai: Ek cup pani mein 1 inch adrak (grated) aur 1/2 chammach haldi powder daal kar 5 minute ubaalein. Chhann kar ismein thoda sa shahad aur neebu ka ras mila kar piyein. Haldi mein curcumin hota hai jo powerful anti-inflammatory hai, aur adrak joint pain mein bahut faayda karti hai.
  • Giloy ka Kadha: Giloy ki twak (stem) ya powder ko pani mein ubaal kar piyein. Giloy immunity badhata hai aur arthritis ke pain ko kam karta hai.

4. Diet – Winter Mein Kya Khayein aur Kya Na Khayein

  • Kya Khayein:
    • Garm Taseer wale Aahar: Moong dal ka khichdi, bajra roti, ghee, til (sesame seeds), dry fruits (badaam, akhrot) aur haldi wala doodh.
    • Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Alsi ke beej (flaxseeds), chia seeds, aur walnuts. Ye inflammation kam karte hain.
    • Vitamin D aur Calcium: Doodh, dahi, paneer, aur haldi wala doodh. Winter mein dhoop kam milti hai, isliye vitamin D ke liye supplements lekar doctor se consult karein.
  • Kya Na Khayein (Avoid):
    • Cold aur Fried Foods: Ice cream, cold drinks, fried snacks jaise samosa, pakode. Ye Vata aur Kapha dosha ko badhate hain.
    • Excessive Salt aur Sugar: Ye swelling aur inflammation ko trigger kar sakte hain.

5. Gentle Exercise aur Yoga

Winter mein exercise chhodna nahi chahiye, lekin zor-daar nahi karna chahiye. Kuch simple asanas jo knee joint ke liye safe hain:

  • Ankle Pumps: Let kar pairon ko upar-neeche karein. Isse blood circulation theek rehta hai.
  • Vajrasana (Thunderbolt Pose): Ghutno ke bal baithne se joint mein blood flow badhta hai.
